Hollie Cook – That Very Night

Ai auzit de Paul Cook? Dacă nu, ar trebui să cunoşti că el este toboşarul trupei punk-rock Sex Pistols chiar din 1975 din momentul urcării acestora pe scenă, iar Hollie Cook este fiica sa. Înconjurată de muzică incă din copilărie, înţelegem de ce Hollie şi-a îndreptat paşii spre aceiaşi carieră mai ales că, aşa cum veţi vedea, dispune şi de o voce minunată. Artista şi-a lansat în acest an albumul de debut, intitulat după numele ei, ce conţine 10 track-uri superbe.

Şi pentru că şi-a îndreptat paşii către muzica reggae mai ales datorită lui Mike Pelanconi aka Prince Fatty, este de la sine înţeles că tot el este şi producătorul acestui album. Discul este alcătuit din cele mai bune ingrediente de „old-school reggae” combinate cu mult dub ce nu sună deloc tradiţional sau plictisitor.

Primul single promovat de pe material se numeşte That Very Night, iar clipul din spatele piesei reprezintă o înfăţişare a desenului animat The Skeleton Dance din seria Silly Simphonies produse de Walt Disney Productions între 1929 şi 1939. Videoclipul, bineînţeles, este doar opera unui fan de pe youtube 🙂
