Solo Banton – Solo Addict EP

La începutul acestei luni britanicul Solo Banton şi-a lansat noul EP numit Solo Addict în colaborare cu casa de discuri nemţească Jahtari. Materialul conţine 6 piese şi toate sunt produse de către Disrupt, ce şi-a început cariera undeva prin 2004, îmbogăţind muzica reggae cu un nou gen numit „digital laptop reggae” (DLR) – sau mai exact: muzică reggae sau dub produsă pe instrumentale create doar cu ajutorul computerului. Vom mai discuta cu siguranţă despre Jahtari şi stilul lor particular pe parcursul fascinantei noastre aventuri în lumea reggae.

Şi ca o curiozitate..probabil că vă întrebaţi de ce atât de mulţi Banton în această industrie: Buju Banton, Burro Banton, Pato Banton şi acum Solo Banton. Nu, nu sunt fraţi..doar că acest cuvânt, banton, înseamnă povestitor în Jamaican Patois. Dar astea sunt poveşti şi acum e timpul pentru One of the Greatest single extras de pe EP.

At the beggining of this month Britishman Solo Banton released his new EP called Solo Addict as a collaboration with the German record label Jahtari. The record contains 6 tracks and they are all issued by Disrupt, who started his career somewhere in 2004, enriching the reggae music with a new genre called „digital laptop reggae” (DLR) – or more precisely put: reggae or dub music produced on instrumentals created only by a computer. We will surely discuss again about Jahtari and his particular style during our fascinating adventure in the world of reggae.

And as a curiosity, you probably ask why there are so many Bantons in this industry: Buju Banton, Burro Banton, Pato Banton and now Solo Banton. Well, they are not brothers, it’s just that this term, banton, means story-teller in Jamaican Patois. But these are stories and now it’s time for One of the Greatest single on the EP.
