Secvenţele sunt preluate din filmul La Haine ce se axează pe prezentarea unei imagini de ansamblu a evenimentelor violente avute loc în Paris la începutul anilor ’90 şi în principal a uciderii lui Makome M’Bowole, un tânăr protestatar de către poliţia pariziană.
