Dub KweliDub Kweli
După ce în aprilie 2010 producătorul new-yorkez Max Tannone lansa albumul „mash-up” Mos Dub, în luna august acesta recidiva şi prezenta lumii un al doilea material de acest gen numit Dub Kweli. Versurile celui de-al doilea membru Black Star, Talib Kweli, urmau să fie aşezate pe diverse instrumentale reggae clasice însoţite de asemenea de vocea unor alţi ‘clasici’ ai muzicii reggae.
La fel ca în cazul lui Mos Def, colegul său de trupă, şi Talib Kweli se potriveşte perfect cu instrumentalele pe acest album, iar Max Tannone este un geniu.
Printre producătorii acestor instrumentale originale îi vom regăsi din nou pe Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, King Tubby sau pe Scientist, iar vocile reggae inserate aparţin de Michael Prophet sau Burning Spear pentru a numi doar doi.
