Mos Dub Mos Dub
În general, nu prea îmi plac albumele de tip „mash-up”, dar Mos Dub creat prin măiestria producătorului new-yorkez Max Tannone este categoric altceva. Astfel, Max a preluat vocea lui Dante Terell Smith-Bay aka Mos Def, unul dintre cei mai reprezentativi artişti pentru scena hip-hop all-time, pentru a o îmbina cu diferite instrumentale reggae clasice, dar şi cu vocea altor ‘clasici’ ca Johnny Osbourne, The Slickers, Big Youth sau Michael Prophet.
Este realmente impresionant cum produsul final este atât de reuşit şi mulţi se întreabă cum se poate să sune atât de natural. Parcă versurile lui Mos Def, preluate de pe diferite albume, sunt create special pentru aceste instrumentale şi sunt sigur că Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Coxsone Dodd sau King Tubby, pentru a da doar câteva nume, ar fi fost mândri să lucreze la vremea lor cu Mos Def.
