Născut într-o colonie a Franţei din America Centrală, Tiwony se horăşte să îmbrăţişeze Rastafarianismul şi îşi lansează primul album reggae, în 1993. Acest lucru se petrecea în Guadeloupe, influenţat şi de rădăcinile muzicale ale tatălui său, cunoscutul basist Vicky Edimo, colaborator apropiat al celebrului Manu Dibango. Born in a Central American French colony, Tiwony decides to embrace the Rastafari Movement with the release of his first solo reggae album back in 1993. The album came out in Guadeloupe and was influenced by the musical legacy and roots left by his father, the famous bass player Vicky Edimo, a close acquaintance of the famous Manu Dibango.
