Mr. Brown Riddim s-a născut în 1970 când celebrul Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry punea la dispoziţie acest Riddim pentru Bob Marley & The Wailers şi pentru trupa sa The Upsetters. Peste ani acesta a fost reeditat, prima dată în 1997 de Xterminator pentru Sizzla Kalonji, iar mai apoi de label-ul Penthouse pentru o serie de artişti printre care şi Beres Hammond.

De curând Shadyville Music şi Donsome Records au re-editat Riddim-ul şi au strâns o serie de nouăsprezece artişti pentru a-şi demonstra măiestria. Printre ei îi putem găsi pe Tanya Stephens cu Dirty Thoughts, pe Perfect Giddimani cu Love Come Frist şi pe Half Pint cu Last Nite. De asemenea, aveţi la dispoziţie întregul mix al materialului.
