Iration Steppas beneficiază de unul dintre cele mai puternice soundsystems din lume. De asemenea, Iration Steppas a căror poveste a început în anul 1990 în Leeds, U.K. reprezintă un nume de top pe scena muzicii dub, nume recunoscut la nivel internațional.
Mark Iration este cel care a pus bazele Iration Steppas. El a fost fascinat încă din copilărie de soundsystems fiind cunoscut drept un mare fan Jah Shaka și Jah Tubbys. Mark a trăit timp de şase ani în Jamaica trebuind să revină în UK din cauza unor probleme de familie.
Acesta și-a început drumul spre glorie colecționând vinyl după vinyl, puțin mai târziu a devenit DJ, dar a trebuit să fie încurajat serios de o serie de prieteni pentru a face trecerea la Soundsystem. În același timp își continuă un alt proiect, acela de a mixa dubplate-uri și 
de a crea muzică în studioul său.
Anul 1993 reprezintă un an foarte important pentru trupă pentru că Mark îl întâlnește la House of Roots din Londra pe Dennis Rootical și formează Iration Steppas așa cum îi cunoaștem noi astăzi. În 1994 urmează lansarea primelor materialele la care a lucrat doar Mark adică Scud Missile / High Rise Vibration şi International Footstep / Mistikal Warrior, ultimul în colaborare cu Dubplate K.

Primele două piese pe care în combinaţie apare şi contribuţia lui Dennis Rootical şi apreciate de fanii de pretutindeni se numesc Kilimanjaro (1995) şi Reminiscence (1996). Vă invităm să le ascultaţi în continuare.

Un alt fapt interesant de menţionat este acela că Mark a schimbat puțin stilul original dub, fiind primul care a utilizat Digital Audio Tapes pentru a putea oferi publicului spre ascultare mixuri dubplate unreleased. Publicul s-a obișnuit puțin mai greu cu noua abordare, dar astfel Iration Steppas a contribuit din plin la dezvoltarea muzicii dub.
În 1996 apare primul album semnat Iration Steppas şi intitulat chiar Original Dub D.A.T. Pe lângă câteva remix-uri ale pieselor pomenite mai sus, apar şi câteva track-uri noi din care noi vom asculta Aksaha şi Brain Damage.

Urmează câteva single-uri cum ar fi Jungle Jungle şi War Inna Babylon înregistrate în colaborare cu Tena Stelin în 2001, Hard Time Pressure In A Babylon în 2002 sau Too Much War împreună cu Dan Man şi respectiv What’s Wrong cu YT pe voce în 2003.

În 2004 este timpul pentru lansarea celui de-al doilea album Iration Steppas numit Dubz From De Higher Regionz de pe care vom asculta Jah Is My Protector şi Rastadub.

Cum Iration Steppas sunt ocupaţi în majoritatea timpului cu turnee în diverse părţi ale globului, unde răspândesc muzică grea plină de bass, trec patru ani până la următorul material oficial. Aşadar, în 2008 după o conlucrare cu Improvisators Dub lansează Inna Steppa Dub de pe care vă propunem Cornal Dub, Critisize, Ghetto Life şi Youth Man.

Pe parcursul trecerii timpului, în jurul anului 2000 mai exact, cei doi membri Iration Steppas au lucrat şi la un proiect trip-hop – dub numit Kitachi. Pentru a vă da seama cum suna acesta vă invit să ascultaţi una dintre piesele lansate de ei numită Kitachi In Dub.

Ca fapt inedit trebuie spus că Mark Iration a mai lucrat în producţie şi pentru Leigh Stephen Kenny, un artist din UK semnat cu Sony Music.
Iration Steppas sunt mândri că au ajuns la un nivel atât de ridicat încât au posibilitatea să influențeze alte persoane să-și creeze propriile soundsystems. Mai ieri îl idolatrizau pe Jah Shaka, iar astăzi ei au devenit idoli pentru tineri.
Unii spun despre Iration Steppas că s-au îndepărtat de sunetul tradițional de reggae, însă la fel de bine se putea spune și despre King Tubby sau Lee Scratch Perry la vremea lor, când începuseră să forțeze granițele muzicale. Noi adăugăm că Iration Steppas înseamnă pasiune pentru muzică, perseverență, persistență și încredere în sine. Sunt caracterizați de originalitate debordantă și de un sunet inconfundabil. Iration Steppas benefits from one of the strongest soundsystems in the world. Also, Iration Steppas whose story started in 1990 in Leeds, U. K. is a top name, internationally recognized on the dub music scene.
Mark Iration is the one who founded Iration Steppas. He was fascinated quite since childhood by soundsystems being known for a big fan of Jah Shaka and Jah Tubbys. Mark lived for six years in Jamaica before being constrained to be back in UK because of some family issues.
He started his way towards glory collecting vinyl after vinyl, later
on he became a DJ, but he needed to be seriously encouraged by a couple of friends for the transition to Soundsystem.
At the same time he also continued another project, the one of mixing dubplates and of creating music in his own studio.
1993 is a very important year for the band as Mark meets Dennis Rootical at House of Roots in London and thus they form Iration Steppas as we know them today. In 1994 dates the release of the first records which it was only Mark that worked on, meaning Scud Missile / High Rise Vibration and International Footstep / Mistikal Warrior, the last one being a collaboration with Dubplate K.

Another interesting fact worth mentioning about Iration Steppas is that Mark changed a bit the original style, being the first one to have used Digital Audio Tapes in order to offer the public for listening unreleased dubplate mixes. .
The public got used to the new approach a bit harder, but in other terms, Iration Steppas contributed remarkably to the development of dub music.
In 1996 the first album signed Iration Steppas is released and it is entitled quite Original Dub D.A.T. Beside a couple of remixes of the tracks mentioned above, there are also some new tracks out of which we are going to listen to Aksaha and Brain Damage.

As Iration Steppas are busy most of the time touring in many areas of the globe, where they spread the hard music full of bass, it’s four years until the next official record. Thus in 2008, after a cooperation with Improvisators Dub they release Inna Steppa Dub out of which we propose Cornal Dub, Critisize, Ghetto Life and Youth Man.
