Romain Virgo a lansat în acest an cel de-al doilea album din cariera sa sub îndrumarea mentorului său Donovan Germain, membru Penthouse Records. Alături de Donovan au mai lucrat la material Niko Browne şi Shane Brown.

The System, căci aşa se numeşte albumul, pare o prelungire naturală a primului său material Romain Virgo RV apărut în 2010. Poate pentru unii este puţin deranjant faptul că Romain Virgo abordează cam aceleaşi subiecte, şi are cam acelaşi stil, dar pentru fanii săi fideli acest lucru este cert de bun augur. Sigur s-a mers pe principiul continuităţii atât timp cât Romain Virgo RV înregistrase un real succes.

Vocea lui Romain Virgo s-a mai maturizat, iar dacă artişti ca Tarrus Riley sau Busy Signal, ultimul numit fiind şi singurul invitat de pe album, încearcă să-şi formeze un nou stil, Romain parcă perseverează în a-l definitiva pe cel actual.
