Pentru dancehall-ul old school al anilor `90, Diana King a avut o apariţie fresh cu piesa Shy Guy (pe care o şi puteţi asculta mai jos). Ca artistă reggae pop şi r&b, Diana King, abia prin 2007 putem spune că revine pe drumul regăsirii rădăcinilor ei jamaicane, prin colaborarea cu Gentleman, pe albumul Another Intensity, cu piesa The Light Within.

De această dată, Closer, single lansat în septembrie 2010, reuşeşte să o aducă în prim planul regăsirii de sine, iar discursul ei despre „a fi tu însuţi” devine îndreptăţit pentru un public jamaican, în faţa căruia limba nativă întăreşte expresivitatea muzicală. Martie 2012 ne oferă în dar clipul mult aşteptat al acestei piese. Vizionare plăcută!

This time, the single Closer – released in September 2010 – sustains redescovering yourself and her talk about “being yourself” is fair for the Jamaican audience because it’s native language confirms the expressiveness of the music.
