Panda Dub reprezintă un one man dub project ce a luat naștere în Lyon, Franța în anul 2005.

Primul show al lui Panda a avut loc în anul 2008, iar acesta se declară în munca sa influențat de stepper-ul britanic gen Iration Steppas sau Vibronics, dar şi de cel francez ca O.B.F. și de ethno / electro dub-ul specific High Tone sau Kaly Live Dub.

Pe piesele francezului vom fi fascinați de sunete de clavietă, de instrumente de percuție, chitară, fluier, clape sau bas, dar și de erhu sau baglama, fapt ce redă uneori muzicii sale un sound asiatic, specific. Toate acestea sunt reproduse cu ajutorul computerului.

Seturile marca Panda Dub trec ușor de la roots la electro dub, sunt mixate pe alocuri și cu puțin hip-hop, și sunt caracterizate de ritmuri puternice și percutante. Un lucru este cert, artistul se ghidează după o singură regulă când vine vorba de muzica sa: pentru underground nu există reguli.

Din punct de vedere discografic lyonezul se poate lăuda până în prezent cu următoarele materiale:

În 2011 a lansat la Dubatriation alături de Paulette Wright piesa Protect The Earth. Recent, ne-am putut bucura de piesele I’m In The Mood, o colaborare cu Joe Pilgrim şi Shantifa şi Dubatriator’s Day.

În ultima zi a anului 2012, lyonezul atrage atenţia fanilor cu un nou material numit Psychotic Symphony a cărui poveste o puteţi citi mai jos. Impresionează aici mai ales piesa ce dă şi numele materialului, iar întreaga creaţie stă sub baza aceleiaşi reguli conform căreia în underground nu există reguli.

Panda Dub is a one man dub project born in Lyon, France in 2005.

The first Panda‘s show took place in 2008, and he declares himself influenced in his work by the British stepper something as Iration Steppas or Vibronics, but also by the French one as O.B.F. and by the ethno / electro dub specific to High Tone or Kaly Live Dub.

On Panda Dub‘s tracks we’ll be fascinated by sounds of clavieta, percussion instruments, guitar, whistle, keyboards or bass, but also erhu or baglama, sometimes offering his music a specific asian sound. All of these are reproduced by the computer.

The setlists signed Panda Dub go slowly from roots to electro dub, are partly mixed with a bit of hip-hop, and are featured by strong and precussive rhythms. One thing is sure, Panda Dub goes by a single rule when it comes to his music: there are no rules for underground.
